A monarchy is a form of government that has a single person known as a monarch at its head. Monarchs use such titles as king, queen, emperor, or empress. Monarchies were once common throughout the world, but now they are rare.
The word "monarch" (Latin: monarcha) comes from the Greek language. Most states only have a single person acting as monarch at any given time. Monarchs can have various titles. Common European titles of monarchs are emperor or empress.
The monarchy of Australia is a form of government in which a hereditary monarch is the sovereign. Australia is a constitutional monarchy. The present monarch is Elizabeth II, styled Queen of Australia, who has reigned since 6 February 1952. She is represented in Australia by the governor-general, in accordance with the Australian constitution and Letters Patent from the Queen.
A monarchy is a state ruled by a monarch. A distinguishing characteristic of modern monarchies is that the position of monarch often involves inheritance in some form.

Absolute Monarchy
It is a form of government where the monarch has the power to rule his or her land or state and its citizens freely. In a absolute monarchy there is no body of law said by the king or queen
